Police in Lahore book seven people for installing secret cameras in girls hostel

Police in Lahore’s Johar Town locality on Sunday, on the complaint of an uncle of one of the affected girls, registered a case against seven persons for allegedly secretly making videos of girls by installing cameras in hostel’s washrooms, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The cameras, allegedly installed on the order of the Ghazal Girls’ Hostel’s administration, would film the girls while they were taking bath.   

As many as 40 female students, belonging to different cities of Punjab, were living at the hostel, which they vacated on the police’s order.  

Mian Salim, a resident of BOR Society, and his wife Fauzia, who were running the hostel, were among those nominated in the FIR.

Other who were nominated were Sagheer, resident of Vehari, Taimoor Shehzad, resident of Sheikhupura, Muhammad Zubair of Jhang, Irfan from Pakpattan and Ali Hassan from Rahim Yar Khan.

Police said all suspects fled as soon as they learnt that the matter had been reported to the police.

The Force said its investigation teams had recorded the statements of female students, who had confirmed the presence of cameras in their washrooms.
