Private School building collapsed, many hurt in Layyah district

A dozen schoolchildren were injured seriously when the roof of their classroom in a private school collapsed at Chak 344/TDA of tehsil Chaubara in district Layyah on Thursday .Building of a private school established in dilapidated cave during working hours. Many children buried under the debris of the building.However Rescue teams immediately  recovered them and saved their  lives. .

The children of pre-school were studying at Al-Rahman Grammar School when the roof collapsed on them. The injured children were transferred to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chowk Azam, while the school management disappeared after locking the school building. The education department is unaware of the incident. Of the eight injured children, two are reportedly in a critical condition

Sources say most of the private school buildings across the district are in a dilapidated condition. The citizens demanded Deputy Commissioner Amira Baidar take action against the school administration.
