Hearing of Usman Buzdar petitions adjourned till Jun 20


MULTAN, June 14th: Lahore High Court Multan Bench's Judge Mr.Justice Shahbaz Ali Rizvi has called detailed reports from Chief Secretary Punjab and Director General Anti Corruption on June 20 on a writ petition filed by former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar demanding the privileges as ensured by rules and regulations and law to the former Punjab Chief Minister.

Usman Buzdar had filed a miscellaneous petition seeking transfer of petition filed in the Multan Bench to principal seat High Court, in which it was requested that the opposition party [Secretary Punjab] is in Lahore so the petition should also be heard on the principal seat.

The petition further stated that under the Punjab Ministers Privileges Act, he is being deprived of privileges as a former Chief Minister. The privileges provided in accordance with law as the former Chief Minister have not been given since May 23.

Usman Buzdar requested that it should be ordered as per the law to provide him with the benefits of being the former CM.

In his another petition Usman Buzdar prayed for issuing orders to Punjab government to desist from institution of falose and fabricated cases, attempting to arrest him and initiating a number of inquiries against him by Punjab home minister Ataullah Tarar.
