Popular religious scholar and speaker Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza has been nominated in a First Information Report (FIR)on May 6th,2020.. There are unconfirmed reports of his arrest on social media.Allegations mentioned in the FIR against him include “inciting people against ulema” and “inciting sectarianism”. Attempts to reach his representatives have proved unsuccessful so far.
Mirza is a resident of Machine Mohallah of Jhelum city. The cleric regularly uploads lectures on his social media and has a huge following.Jhelum police lodged an FIR against Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza for his alleged derogatory and instigating remarks against known religious scholars.
