LHC Multan bench orders institution of blasphemy cases against bloggers

MULTAN, March 14th: Mr. Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan of the Multan Bench of the Lahore High Court ordered FIA to register cases  against the bloggers involved in the uploading of sacrilegious content on the social media and submit a report on next date fixed for March 20,2017. An activist of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan Muhammad Ayyub Mughal has filed a writ petition in the LHC Multan bench and submitted that the government has not taken any action against those who had uploaded the sacrilegious content on the Facebook, twitter,linkedin and other social media.During hearing ,the court observed that blasphemywas not an agenda of any Muslim or Pakistani.People of different creeds respect the faith of each other and they are living with fraternal feelings.The court further observed that hate behaviour was neither a freedom nor a culture of a society like Pakistan.Justice Qasim Khan observed that people of this land respect to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Those who are spreading hatred against the religious celebrities are enemyof the society.Concerned departments and law enforcing agenciesshould take action against them under blasphemy law.
