Kenya Railways increases trips on Nairobi-Kisumu Train Service: "Up to January"s

Travellers on the Nairobi-Kisumu train service have until January 2025 to enjoy affordable to-and-fro journeys on the route.Kenya Railways said it had extended the service to January 15.

The train service resumed on December 6 after months of suspension.

"We are pleased to announce that following the resumption of the Kisumu Safari Train, we have introduced additional trips to and from Kisumu up to January 15, 2025," said Kenya Railways.

The train to Kisumu will be departing the Nairobi Central Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4pm.

The return train will be departing the Kisumu Railway Station on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 6:30pm.

The Kisumu Safari Train, which is currently in operation, will ferry travellers to and fro Nairobi until January 15, 2025
