An American Airlines flight from Chicago O’Hare to Las Vegas was forced to return to Chicago after declaring an emergency due to a door warning light indication.

The flight, AA1047, departed Chicago at 2:49 PM UTC, but shortly after takeoff, the crew received multiple alerts indicating potential issues with the aircraft doors.

At 3:34 PM UTC, the crew declared an emergency, and the flight safely landed back at Chicago O’Hare at approximately 3:50 PM UTC. The flight was operated by a Boeing 737-800, registered N834NN, which is 14.7 years old and powered by CFM-56 engines
