Free treatment to Heart patients to be ensured -Jalaluddin Roomi

On the Initiative of renowned industrialist & philanthropist ,former President of Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chairman Board of Management  of Multan Institute of Cardiology Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi, all philanthropists  of South Punjab have decided to form a Cardiac friends Society (CFS) to provide proper treatment to deserving hear patients free of cost. All expenses would be borne by the society.0He said that  Multan Institute of Cardiology has very limitd resources to meet the requirements of the growing number of heart patients. He said that poor people are unable to bear the cost of stunts, bypass operation etc. We are forming Friends of Cardiac  society to treat all such patients. Including from Multan and South Punjab. He said that  philanthropists of south Punjab need motivation and proper utilisation of their donations and we would  provide them a transparent platform to serve the humanity. Khawaja Jalaluddin roomi said that they will not only support the treatment of the poor and indigent people but also their role will be important for running the hospital system. These views were expressed by Chairman Board of Management Multan Institute of Cardiology Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi while presiding over the 29th meeting of the board. He said that due to the non-provision  or insufficient fund by the government, there is a problem in running the hospital system. In this regard, we have contacted the provincial health minister. He assured that  we will be able to raise more funds for this hospital from the Government.

In the meeting, Chief Executive Mujtaba Ali Siddiqui said. The agenda that we decided in the last meeting. According to this, we intend to get approval for the purchase of 20 ventilators. In addition, he said that at this time we need more The budget is awaited. Because after the construction of the new block, the number of patients in the hospital has increased a lot. That is why we need the budget as much as the number of patients is increasing. Despite doing surgery and other treatments regularly.

Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that we will try to provide the best treatment facilities to every patient who comes here, because this is the biggest hospital for heart diseases in South Punjab. Therefore, we will try to come here. Every patient should be treated.

Other board members in the meeting were Justice Retired Mian Zafar Yasin, Prof. Dr. Ejaz Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Tariq Abbas, Mrs. Mehnaz Farid. MS Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Dr. Zafar Ali Alvi, Internal Audit Wing Shah Sawar, Director Finance Farhan Saeed and Secretary Health were represented by the Additional Secretary.The participants of the meeting approved all the agenda of the 28th meeting.
