Aleema met her brother at Adiala Jail today. In a media talk afterwards, she said the public’s mandate was “stolen” in the aftermath of the elections. She stated that Imran strongly condemned the suspension of internet services, which he claimed was used to “hide the real results”.
According to Aleema, Imran also expressed concerns regarding the safety of the former Rawalpindi commissioner. “Now Khan sahib wants all this to end […] he demands the real mandate of the public should be handed over,” she added.PTI lawyer Shoaib Shaheen has claimed that the public and the international media are aware of how “post-poll rigging” took place in Pakistan.
“If we are unable to take back the stolen seats, the public knows, who they voted for and even the national and international media knows how post-poll rigging took place,” he said.
Giving an example of his constituency, Shaheen said independent candidate Mustafa Khokhar, JI’s Kashif Chaudhry, TLP’s Hafiz Khawar and himself had corresponding Form 45s but the results were different.PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen has said that the party is in the process of taking back their “stolen seats from dacoits” in a legal manner.
Speaking on Geo News programme ‘Capital Talk’, Shaheen said the emerging situation in the country felt like “we asking the dacoits to give us a small share from the theft that took place”.
“Those who should’ve gotten 18-20 seats have robbed our seats and want to come in power,” he maintained.
