Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar left for a five-day visit to the United States on Sunday.The premier is to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and international issues, according to a statement issued by his office. Heads of oter states and foreign Ministers are also reaching at New York to attend UNGA session. Moreover, Kakar is to participate in a conference on climate change besides meeting with representatives of international media and visiting some think tanks in America.

FO spokesperson said that Kakar will elaborate on measures being taken by the caretaker government to consolidate Pakistan's economic recovery and efforts to mobilise domestic and external investment.
He will be participating in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) summit besides meeting with premiers of different countries, heads of foreign organisations and corporate leaders.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, has arrived in New York City to attend the 78th session of the UN General Assembly on behalf of King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency said early Sunday.
The foreign minister and his delegation flew to New York from Havana, Cuba, where he attended the G77+China Summit on Sept. 16.
The 78th UNGA will take place Sept. 18-26, 2023, amid worries about climate change, worsening poverty and food insecurity, war, inflation, humanitarian needs escalating in scale and cost, and deepening inequality.
Prince Faisal will participate in several official meetings to discuss ways to address the issues raised. He will also participate in a number of ministerial meetings that will be held involving the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, according to SPA.
On the sidelines of the assembly, he will also hold bilateral meetings with representatives of various countries and with officials of international organizations participating in the work of the UNGA at its 78th session.
