Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) on Sunday alleged that the former focal person to Imran Khan on digital media Arslan Khalid’s home was raided and that his family’s mobile phones were taken away.
The PTI took to their official Twitter handle to announce the “extremely disturbing news” and maintained that Khalid had “never abused anyone on social media and never attacked any institutions”.They urged the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to look into the matter.PTI leader Asad Umar “highly” condemned the raid, claiming that “patriotic youth” like Khalid were an “asset” for the nation.
The raid comes shortly after the joint opposition ousted former premier Imran Khan through a vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly.
The joint opposition's no-confidence motion, which required 172 votes in the 342-strong parliament to pass, was supported by 174 lawmakers, shaking the political earth of the country with an unprecedented ouster of the premier and seemingly bringing to an end the protracted crisis.
