Founder of Akhuwat Foundation Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib has said that A modern fountain House equipped with all necessities will be established in Multan with the cooperation of local philanthropists like Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi. However, Initial amount of Rs.20 million and technical assistance would be provided by the Akhuwat Foundation.These views were expressed by Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Founder of Akhuwat Foundation in a special meeting with renowned industrialist and former President of Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi at his residence here today. Roomi welcomed Dr. Mohammad Amjad Saqib, the founder of the Brotherhood Foundation, at his residence.Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib said that he was highgly impressed with the generosity ,hospitality and spirit of Jalaluddin Roomi who had set unique precedences of services to the humanity in the field of health care, education,clean water, poverty alleviation and elimination of hunger and starvation. After traveling all over the world, I have reached to the conclusion that the people of Multan are at the forefront of public service work. I come to Multan empty handed.but when I return, my wallets are full of prayers and donations.Explaining details of Akhuwat Foundation projects,Dr. Mohammad Amjad Saqib said," To date, Akhuwat has disbursed over 4.2 million interest-free loans amounting to PKR 128 billion ($805 million) helping 3 million families across Pakistan to alleviate poverty by empowering socially and economically marginalized segments of the society through interest-free microfinance and education.Akhuwat Clothes Bank collects,more than 3.2 million graments donated clothing and gifts to 3 million low-income families. These gifts are disbursed throughout the year while special campaigns are carried out during peak winter season and natural disasters.He said that the journey which started with a few thousand rupees has now crossed one hundred and thirty billion rupees and today it is the biggest welfare organisation in the world. Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi said that brotherhood is gaining respect and good fame for Pakistan all over the world. At the end of the meeting, Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Rumi made a generous donation to the Brotherhood Foundation. On which the founding head of the fraternity thanked him and said that you continue to provide financial support to our various projects. In which I and my entire team are deeply grateful to you. He presented Roomi with his latest book," The Four Men".
