Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Railway failed to restore trains originating from Multan in spite of elapsing two years depriving thousands of passengers of train journey. He also failed to reduce/cut the fare of nearest stations which was fixed by former Minister Railway Sheikh Rashid Ahmed at Rs.100.
It may be recalled that Multan station was connected with Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Jampur, Peshawar via Kundian, Jand Basal, Attock, Sargodha via Jhang ,Shorkot, but now there is no train for Dera Ghazi Khan from Multan, No Direct Train for Peshawar which could facilitate the people of Multan, Muzaffargarh, Kotadu, Kundian & Mianwali.
We are not developing in railway but going backward. There were two trains for Lahore from Multan but now left one train Musa Pak. Where are we going ?.
Sandal passenger train which is called express was closed and deprived the people of Tatepur, Riazabad,Makhdoompur Pahoran, Abdul Hakim, Jhang, Shah Jewena, Shah Nikdur,Sobhaga, Sillanwali of travelling by train.
People of Southern Punjab prefer to travel by Train .Railway must introduce Shuttle Train system between Multan-Kot Adu, Multan Khanewal, Multan Bahawalpur, Multan Layyah, Multan Shorkot etc
However,it is good nerws that fulfilling the promise made to people in E-Kachehri, Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nisar Ahmad Memon announced the restoration of (335UP/336DN) Marvi Passenger train to Mirpurkhas-Khokhrapar-Mirpurkhas and (155UP/156DN) Saman Sarkar Express to Hyderabad.
According to details, (335UP) Marvi Passenger train will leave Khokhrapar on October 16 at 6am and reach its destination at 9:40am in Mirpurkhas. Similarly, (336DN) will leave Mirpurkhas at 5pm on October 15 and reach Khokhrapar railway station at 8:40pm.
On the other hand, (155UP) Saman Sarkar Express will leave Hyderabad at 3:45pm on October 15 and reach Mirpurkhas at 4:55pm.
Similarly, (156 DN) will leave Mirpurkhas at 10am on October 16 and reach Hyderabad at 11:10am. From October 16, these two trains will operate on a regular basis. Both trains will consist of five vans of economy class and a TL van.
