A police van was partially damaged when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along a road went off in Kulachi tehsil here Today.
All police personnel, including DSP and SHO Kulachi, who were onboard the van, remained unhurt, officials said.
They said after conducting a search operation in Takwara area of Kulachi tehsil, DSP and SHO Kulachi along with other personnel were returning to the police station in a van when the bomb hit the vehicle.
As a result, the van was partially damaged, while the personnel remained unhurt.Soon after the blast, a contingent of police and bomb disposal squad personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
The law enforcers arrested several suspects during a search operation and shifted them to an unknown location for interrogation.
