Multan, May 17th: Senior Politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has alleged that a heavy police contingent led by officers of district administration & Multan Development Authority(MDA)on Monday dismantled a school established by his daughter Memona Hashmi, a marriage hall to punish him and his family for political opposition and supporting the Mian Nawaz Sharif's narrative. Addressing a press conference here today he said that the Police force was called from four districts of South Punjab i.e Multan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh and Bahawalpur to cordoned off our residences and entire town of 40,000 population.Police also manhandled the inmates and snatched their cell phones. He made it clear that these buildings were neither constructed on Auqaf's land nor were unauthorised. School and wedding hall and commercial shops were constructed on the land lawfully transferred to my daughters by their grandfather (Nana). He said that we have incurred a loss of Rs.50 million. Javed Hashmi alleged that Police and administration made 40,000 residents of Makhdoom Rashid hostage for five hours and did not let them out of their homes. He said ," I and my family were mentally prepared for courting arrest. we were not scared of this situation.Javed Hashmi said that there would have been a catastrophic clash between Police force and citizens if I do not request them to be calm and quiet. He said I am a patriotic Pakistan and I would not like to defame the institutions .He said that we are ready to go behind bars and to face the trial. He said that we would go to the court for "Truth"nor for compensation or penalty. He said that a strong and disciplined army was a need of Pakistan.He said that our arm,y should take practical steps to help the palestinians
