Seven persons of a family were killed when a speedy car hit a road side tree at Mohsinwal (Mian Chunnu) on Friday night.They were identified as Malik Eid Muhammad ,his wife Razia bibi, Two sons Sanaullah, Ubaidullah, Maryam bibi wife of third son Saifullah,her two daughters Aima and Muqaddas. Rescue staff said that six persons died on the spot while Muqaddas succumbed to injuries in hospital,It is stated that Malik Eid Muhammad was going to Chak No.105/15-L for the engagement of his son but he met a fatal accident.People of the area reached there for their help but some of them stole their Mobile phones, cash and Gold ornaments.The car completely destroyed in the accident and the body was pulled out by cutting the car and shifted to hospital where they were handed over to heirs after legal formalities.
An environment of grief prevailed in the village over sudden death of six family members.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has also expressed grief over the sad demise of six people of same family.According to rescue sources, the accident occurred when a speeding car crashed into a tree on Jindiali Road. As result, six members of a same family, traveling in the car, including two women and two minors died on the spot. The rescuers rushed to the site on information and shifted the dead bodies to hospital for legal-formalities.
Meanwhile, two persons including a woman and her teenage son were killed in firing by armed men over enmity here on Friday, police said.
According to details, the incident took place in village Hardaspur of Gujrat where culprits belonging to rival group sprayed bullets on two members of the opponent group.
As a result of firing, two people including 45-year-old Bushra and her son Salar Anwar Raza, 17, were killed on the spot and the attackers fled the scene
The bodies were shifted to hospital where they were handed over to heirs after legal formalities and the police after registering a case against the culprits started raids for their arrest.
