MULTAN, Sept 27th: Mian Fazal Elahi Sheikh President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI)has expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on the behalf of the business community for initiating a self-employment scheme for youth, encapsulating his vision to alleviate the poverty in the province. Exchanging views with Managing Director of PSIC Mudassar Riaz Malik in Multan Chamber, Mian Fazal Elahi said that Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) under the able leadership has developed a Micro Finance Self Employment Scheme for unemployed youth of Punjab, targeting especially the skilled Diploma Holders of TEVTA, PVTC, Sanatzar’s of Social Welfare Department or other Technical Training Institutes with an appropriate share of Female Trainees by using the services of Micro Finance Institutions through a transparent procedure. Similarly, Punjab Small Industries Corporation also revived a scheme titled “Rural Industrialization Programme” (RIP) . Mudassar Riaz Malik told that Youth can obtain loans up to Rs.10 million on less markup and easy instalments.This scheme would help in poverty alleviation besides eradication of unemployment.
