MULTAN, Tehrik-i-Insaf backed Muhammad Imran Rashid Salehry and Ghulam Nabi Tahir Chaudhry have been elected as President and General Secretary of District Bar Association Multan while Malik Altaf Raan elected as Vice President, Aasia Gul,Joint Secretary (Unopposed)Muhammad Irfan Maitla as Finance Secretary and Hassan Mehmood Tareen as Library Secretary. Ten members of Executive Committee. Javed Iqbal, Wilayat Ali Khan, Muhammad Zulfikar Ali, Tahir Riaz Qureshi,Muhammad Tayyab Hashmi,Muhammad Fayyaz, Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhry,Tasawar Abbas Siddiqui, Arsalan Munir,and Hafiz Abdul Rauf Qadri.
Election Commission headed by Kanwar Muhammad Younas declared the resultthat there were total 4490 registered voters of District Bar Multan.Of them 2327 exercised their rights of vote showing turn out of 51.82 %.Muhammad Imran Rashid Salehri got 764 vote, Syed Yousaf Akbar Naqvi 584 ,Nasheed Arif Gondal 467, Asghar Lodhi 311 and Syed Iqbal Mehdi Zaidi 185 on the seat of President. Ghulam Nabi Tahir secured 1170 votes after ba tough competition with Muhammad Waseem Khan who got 1136 votes for the office of General Secretary, Malik Altaf Raan has been elected as Vice President by ontaining 1047 votes,his rival Rashid Mustafa Sheikh got 985 and Muhammad Amjad alias Amboo Khan 263 votes.Ms.Aasia Gul has been elected as Joint Secretary unopposed. Muhammad Irfan Maitla has been elected as Finance Secretary by bagging 1195 votes,his rival Rai Shahid Jaat got 581 and Sheikh Muhammad Shoaib 525 votes, Ahsan Mehmood Tareen was elected as Library Secretary by defeating two femsle candidates Rabilla Gilani (706) and Shabana Khan 195 votes.
