51 Pakistani pilgrims got injured in Iraq bus accident: FO

A bus carrying 51 Pakistani Zaireen hit a security checkpost near Samarra, Iraq, on the night of April 21, the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Pakistani Mission in Baghdad told the Foreign Office that injured passengers had been shifted to Medical City Hospital.
Passengers with minor injuries were treated and discharged, the FO said, adding that 47 passengers are in good health, while three remain hospitalised due to injuries of a serious nature.
The FO said the Pakistani Mission is coordinating with the Iraqi health ministry and hospital administration to ensure provision of medical treatment to the injured.
The Embassy in Baghdad is arranging the safe return of pilgrims to Pakistan in coordination with Iraqi authorities, the FO stated.
A bus carrying 51 Pakistani pilgrims hit a security check post near Samarra, Iraq in the night earlier past week. It is stated that mostly pilgrims belong to South Punjab 
According to information provided by Pakistani Mission in Baghdad, injured passengers were shifted to Medical City Hospital, according to a foreign office statement issued here.
It said that passengers with minor injuries were treated and have been discharged. As of now 47 passengers were in good health, whereas 3 passengers remain admitted in the hospital due to serious injuries.
Pakistani Mission was coordinating with the Iraqi Ministry of Health and hospital administration, to ensure provision of medical treatment to the injured.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Baghdad has arranged safe return of the pilgrims in coordination with Iraqi authorities.
