Senior politician and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Hashmi officially withdrew from general election on Friday because Mian brother refused to allot a party ticket and gaveticket to Tariq Rashed Sheikh.
The returning officer announced that Hashmi will not be contesting from his hometown Multan NA-155 and NA-158.
On Sunday, In a press conference Hashmi, and senior politician from PML-N who recently rejoined the party after spending approximately three years in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, had announced his withdrawal from contesting the election.
He said he withdrew because the party did not award him a ticket but guaranteed that he would support PML-N in this elections.
Veteran politician further said that he wants to work as a party worker and if party candidates called for compaign he will also do it .
