The members of a foreign delegation here on Thursday expressed satisfaction over restoration of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The delegation including monks and other Buddhists was led by Bhutanese Ambassador Sonam T Rabgye. The delegation visited the Buddhist sites in Takht Bhai in the district.
Other members of the delegation included Tshering Yangchen Rabgye, the wife of the ambassador, Councillor Domang, Exam Secretary Ngawang Sonam, Lama Ugyen, Finance Officer Tshering Dorji, Assistant Language Officer Tsheten Dorji, Research Officer of National Library and Archives Jigme Choden, Tshering Penjor and Lhendup Tshewang.
The delegation was brought to Takht Bhai Buddhist remains amid tight security. The government had invited the Bhutan delegation to visit the Buddhist remains and other parts of the country.The Buddhist remains of Takht Bhai echoed with prayers and hymns when the monks reached the site. The members of the delegation expressed their satisfaction over restoration of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country.
After visiting the archaeological site, the delegation proceeded to Swat for its scheduled visit.
