Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, head of Awami Muslim League (AML), addressing a press conference in Rahim Yar Khan on Friday said that the threat of unconstitutional measures will remain in society until the corrupt elements of society remain there.
Rasheed said that he will stand with Imran Khan and his party, AML, will contest elections alongside Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
While commenting on the firing incident at Justice Ijazul Ahsan’s residence he said that how can a common Pakistani could remain safe in these circumstances when a Judge of Supreme Court has been attacked twice. Moreover, he said, “The district commissioner of Gujranwala was hanged from a fan and then they say there is excellent governance in the country.”
He also showed concerns over the issue lack of clean drinking water in Pakistan and on increasing death ratio due to Hepatitis.
Furthermore, he regretted the number of times his mic was turned off in the National Assembly to stop him from expressing his views.
When asked about his stance on demand of new province in south Punjab, he said that he has been demanding a separate province since he was a youth. “Punjab’s dominance should be ended by making separate provinces from it,” he explained. Babu Akram Ansari was accompanied by him
