Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar, her sisters Anila Rabbani,Khadija Rabbani, Nadia Rabbani her brother Malik Raza Rabbani, Mother Sumaira Abdullah and her father Malik Ghulam Muhammad Noor Rabbani Khar MNA and 25 others were booked under sections 420,467,469,468,471 PPC and 5-2/47 of ACE by Anti Corruption Establishment Muzaffargarh in a forgery case filed by Hina’s brother. However no arrest was made.
The former foreign minister’s brother, Malik Abdul Khaliq Rabbani Khar, filed the fraud and forgery case against 25 people, including his sister and father Noor Rabbani.
Khaliq alleged that the accused have illegally transferred family property for which a complaint had already been filed at the directorate of anti-corruption. After an initial investigation, a fraud case was registered against the accused. In his petition Abdul Khaliq Khar alleged that Malik Noor Rabbani Khar had separated from his Mother Zaib-Un-nisa and married to Sumaira Abdullah and he transferred 1535 kanal 13 Marla land to his new wife and other children using his political influence.
A post-graduate in hospitality and tourism from the University of Massachusetts, Khar has her roots in a wealthy feudal family of southern Punjab.
Khar was appointed as Pakistan’s youngest and first woman foreign minister by the PPP-led government which came to power after the 2008 elections. Hina's elder Uncle Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar was Governor Punjab who also served as Federal Minister for Power.The case was also instituted against Mushtaq Mehboob Leghari, Ghulam Hussain, Naib Tehsildars, Rahim Bakhsh,Ata Hussain Kalera,Ghulam Yasin, Noor Muhammad Khund, Sikandar Khan, Muhammad Eisa, Muhammad Yousaf, Asghar Ali Qureshi, Girdawars/Qanoongo, Ghulam Ali, Rahim Bakhsh, Karim Bakhsh ,Muhammad Amin, Elahi Bakhsh,Sikandar Khan, Saif-ullah,Abdul Rehman Qadar Bakhsh Patwaris of Land revenue department.
