Kashmir Solidarity Day wasobserved to pay homage to freedom fighters

MULTAN, Feb 5th:The people and the District administration,Education department and traders on  Monday observed the  Kashmir Solidarity Day to pay homage to freedom fighters,martyrs and other people. They burnt Indian flag and portraits of Indian Prime Minister Nirendra Mondi. Anjuman Tajiran Gaddafi chowk , Gulgasht, Markazi Anjuman Tajiran separately organised their rallies . Human chain was made under the auspices of Mutahidda Majlis-e-Amal and other religious and political to express solidarity with the people of Jammu & Kashmir.The speaker said their indigenous struggle for right to self-determination will continue with the renewal of unflinching moral, political and diplomatic support of the people and the government of Pakistan which was being extended to the people of Jammu & Kashmir for the last 71 years.Tehrik-i-Insaf organised a rally and burnt an effigy of Nirendra Modi. Motor cycle rallies were also organised.
Special prayers were offered in all the mosques across the South Punjab for those who were martyred during the freedom struggle as well as for the early success of the cause. To pay homage to the martyrs one minute silence was observed at 10am with the sound of sirens and all traffic was stopped. all three FM radio stations and PBC  broadcasted special transmission and special messages of the dignitaries Special events were organised in educational institutions, Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz organised a seminar inRaza hall to pay homage to Kashmiri freedom fighters, Sheikh Tariq Rashid Ex-MNA,Malik Anwar Ali, Sheikh Athar Mumtaz and others vowed to continue all possible moral political and diplomatic support to their indigenous struggle for liberation of the motherland from Indian yoke.
They recalled that Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed on 5 February every  year since 1990 in Pakistan as a day of protest against the long Indian unlawful occupation of bulk of Jammu & Kashmir against the aspirations of the people of the state . The current uprising against the Indian occupation of Kashmir began in 1989 and in view of the popularity of the indigenous uprising the then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto – led government had made it official and declared it a public holiday in 1990. Similarly JI(Youth) also organised a rally under the leadership of Rana Mannan, Rana Sanaullah  and Rashid Aarbi.
