MULTAN-A contingent of students and faculty members from leading educational institutes of Multan spent a day with Army here at Multan Garrison on Friday. Approximately 500 students from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Nishtar Medical College, CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences, Beacon House, City and FG Schools were part of the programme. The programme was specifically organised to enlighten students about functioning of Pakistan Army, its organisation and defence capability.
On arrival, the students were given an overview of the operational and training activities conducted by Pakistan Army followed by tanks manoeuvre demonstration and combat worthiness of troops through combat riding, unarmed combat. They participants conducted live firing with small arms, witnessed weapons and equipment display and took keen interest in the stalls of various weapons and equipment under Army’s use.
The students applauded the state of morale, commitment, and professional competence and thanked Pak Army and expressed their gratitude for being provided an opportunity and life time experience to interact with Army troops.
