MULTAN, Dec 19th: Hundreds of affectees on National Bank Timer Market Branch on Tuesday staged a demonstration in front of bank branch and also observed sit to press the authorities for immediate payment of their amount which embezzled by its staff. An aged women Manzooran Mai who had lost her 2.5 million rupees became unconscious and she was immediately removed to Hospital by Rescue 1122. Regional Manager NBP Multan assured the traders as well as affectees that an inquiry committee has already been constituted for investigation and entire record was sent to Karachi head office. He said that fraud of Rs.30 million was detected so far but traders claimed that they had embezzled Rs.60 million and they had issued bogus receipts to depositors. They would also observe sit-in on Wednesday.
