At least nine people were killed and 30 injured in a suicide attack on the Bethel Memorial Methodist Church on Quetta's Zarghoon Road on Sunday afternoon.
All casualties, which included women and children, were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta. Speaking on Sunday evening, Hospital Spokesman Waseem Baig said the death toll had risen to nine.
An emergency has been imposed in all hospitals across Quetta . Rescue and relief operation is under way. The church has been cleared after inspection by the security agencies. After the explosion was reported, an exchange of fire ensued between terrorists and security personnel. The media personnel were directed to stay away from the site.According to Quetta Deputy Commissioner Farrukh Atiq, at least nine people lost their lives while 16 others have been injured during attack on the church.

Eyewitnesses say that a number of people have also sustained injuries who are now being shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office has condemned the attack on church.
