Multan Union of Journalist (MUJ) held election for 2017-18 too late after the interference of Federal Union of Journalists under the supervision of a three member committee Nadeem Shah, Masih-ullah Jampuri and Dil Muhammad Khan.Rauf Maan of Jang and Shahadat Hussain of Geo have been elected as President and General Secretary of Multan Union of Journalists by securing 122 and 135 votes respectively. They belonged to Progressive Media group. Tariq Ismail of Khabrain and Anjum Pitafi have been elected as Vice Presidents by bagging 126 and 108 votes. Muhammad Iqbal Mubarak (Dunya)and Waseem Khan Photographer (Jang) have been elected as Joint secretaries by obtaining 113 and 110 votes respectively.
