MULTAN, Sept 6th:A two-day exhibition of military warfare equipment and weapons began at Ayub Stadium in Multan Cantonment in line with connection of the celebrations of Defence Day on September 6. Corps commander Lt.Gen Sarfraz Sattar alongwith Garrison Commander and other officers visited the exhibition that remained open for the public for two-day, According to Press release issued by ISPR Multan here on Wednesday .The exhibition has been organized by Multan Corps Military band continued to play war and nationals songs and A large number of people including students, families besides senior military officers gathered to witness the exhibition venue displaying modern weapons, helicopter gunship, tanks, radar system,machine guns and other equipment. War equipment remained the main focus of attention for school and college students.The visitors lauded the initiative of Pakistan Army and expressed the hope that such events would continue to be held in future. The Defence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with national fervour and enthusiasm in the ancient city of Multan and Bahawalpur on Wednesday.The day commenced with special prayers in mosques for the peace, prosperity and solidarity of the country and to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of their motherland. The hallmark of the day was a special exhibition of defence equipment in Ayyub Stadium.The display included modern arms and ammunition, including precision weapons being used by the army and paramilitary forces in the operation Zarb-i-Azb,Raddul-Fasad. Fateha and Quran Khawani was also held for the martyrs.
