MULTAN,Sept 13th: Ch.Tariq Niaz has been elected as Vice President of Cantonment Board Multan after bagging six vote his rival candidate Khalid Asad got five votes. The winner is younger brother of Javed Niaz, a leader of PML-N and close associate of Abid Sher Ali minister for power .This seat was vacant after the disqualification of Vice President Humayun Akbar because he has concealed his assets. Malik Aamer Dogar MNA also supported Ch.Tariq Niaz .Later he visited the Dogar house for gratitude alongwith a large number supporters. He also met commanding officer and assured him full cooperation in resolving the problems confronted by the residents of cantonment. Ch.Fazal Hussain Chandia former vice President of Cantonment board could not recapture this seat .because his by-election in Ward No.7 was delayed after the disqualification of Humayun Akbar
