Panama verdict- Nawaz Sharif narrow escaped from disqualification


The country braced on Thursday as Supreme Court began reading out a 540-page verdict in the Panamagate case. The five judge bench remained divided over the verdict as two of them suggested disqualification of the premier.JIT will be required to present the report after every two weeks.


The JIT will be constituted within seven days. The team will review the material already probed in the case.
The team will comprise representatives from the military, NAB, security exchange commission, FIA and other investigating agencies.
Reading the verdict, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa asks how the assets were transferred from Jeddah.

“It needs to be investigated how the money was transferred to Qatar,” the verdict reads.
The premier’s sons Hasan and Hussain Nawaz will have to appear before the JIT, says SC.
According to initial reports, the verdict is divided in the ratio 3:2. Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar have called for the disqualification of PM Nawaz.Justice Asif Saeed Khosa reads out the 540-page verdict.
