More than 200 protesters were booked under terror charges in Machar Colony

The Docks police on Wednesday registered a case against more than 200 protesters under terror charges for allegedly protesting violently against an anti-encroachment drive in the Machar Colony area of the metropolis, said police officials.
The police have registered an FIR on the complaint of revenue officer Mohammed Wasim against the protesters who allegedly resorted to firing on anti-encroachment cell officers and indulged in arson acts.

Earlier in the day, the protesters resisted the drive to demolish ‘illegal homes’ to pave way for the much-needed Karachi Circular Railway but the drive turned violent when the angry mob pelted stones on the police and anti-encroachment force.
