A candle light vigil was held to pay homage to Census team

A candle light vigil was held at the residence of Begum Shaheen Shafique MNA,parliamentary secretary  here on Thursday to pay homage to the martyrs of census of population team who laiddown their lives in Lahore .The function was organized by the women of Pakistan Muslim League and other social activists and people from different walk of life. Afsheen butt, Zarina Rehman, Nazia Naz, Tehmina Noor, Shahida Perveen, Farzana bano, Afshan Shehzadi, Faryal Chaudhry, Nazia Akbar, Tariq Amir Abbasi of PYO and Mishi Khan and notables of the area also attended it.The participants  while paying rich tributes to the martyrs said that to remember martyred is our national obligation.The great sacrifice of Census of population staff and army men martyred s united the nation against terrorism and extremism and it would not go waste, they added.Shaheen Shafique said that Operation Zarb-i-Azb and Rad-dul-Fasad had broken the back of terrorists and their facilitators.
