At least seven members, including four women and two children of two families were killed and 11 others sustained injuries when a passenger vehicle fell into a deep ravine in Bin area in Upper Dir district on Monday, hospital and police sources said.
They said the passenger vehicle was on way to Bin Darra from Brawal when it fell into a deep ditch in Bin area after the driver lost control over the steering wheel.As a result, seven persons, including four women, two children and a man were killed on the spot.
The deceased included wife and two sisters of Yaqoob Khan and a daughter of Bacha Rehman, his sister-in-law and a grandson.
Eleven other persons sustained serious injuries who were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Brawal. The victim families were related to each other. Driver Mohammad Din, who is also nazim of Noorkhel village council, was also among the injured.
