Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif hit out at political opponents Imran Khan and the senior leadership of Pakistan Peoples party while addressing a gathering in the city on Tuesday.
Shehbaz Sharif said that PTI chairman Imran Khan used to refer to the Metro Bus as a 'Jangla Bus' but now the cricketer-turned-politician had announced his program to initiate a Metro Bus system in Peshawar. He stated that referring to the Metro Bus scheme as 'Jangla Bus' was an insult to human beings.
He also slammed the PTI chief for not supporting the Pakistan Super League final which was held in Lahore despite his status as a legendary cricketer.
"Imran was a renowned cricketer during his time. However, when the PSL final was held in Lahore, he opposed it," said Shehbaz.
Sharif claimed that by the end of this year, the Prime Minister's promise of ending the menace of load-shedding would come true.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the promise of loadshedding coming to end will be fulfilled before the start of the new year.
"Billions are being invested in electricity projects," he said. "If Modi wants, Pakistan can export electricity to India," he added.
During his speech, the Punjab Chief Minister also slammed PPP's senior leadership indirectly for their recent statements against the Punjab government.
"The head of a political party said that they would clean Punjab. Punjab is your home, you can come here any time you want," he said. "But before you here, pick up the trash from Karachi," he said.
In another indirect attack on PPP, Shehbaz Sharif said that Prime Ministers and Governors had gotten elected from South Punjab but they had done nothing for the area.
Shehbaz Sharif announced the provision of 20 air-conditioned buses for Lodhran as well as the construction of a road at Dunya Pur Mailsi.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of dualization of ninety six kilometers long Lodhran,Khanewal, highway road in Lodhran Tuesday, he said several more development projects will soon be started in southern Punjab.
He said the project will be completed with a cost of twenty two billion rupees .
Shahbaz Sharif said the project of providing clean water to the people of southern Punjab is being started soon and will be completed within a year.
He announced to provide twenty air conditioned buses for the people of Lodhran.
The Chief Minster also announced a development package of twenty five billion rupees for district Lodhran.
