MULTAN, March 23rd: Employees Union of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) today staged a demonstration at Multan airport under the leadership of Rana Muhammad Saleem president of Joint action committee against outsourcing the operation, management and development of New Islamabad International Airport – Islamabad, Allama Iqbal International Airport – Lahore and Jinnah International Airport – Karachi.Asad Iqbal, Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Abid Naeem Butt, Fayyaz Ali Shah, Rana Javed Akhtar, Memona Shabbir,Syed Mohsin Gardezi, Imran Hussain,Sadaqat Ali and Malik Ijaz Hussain addressed the demonstrators.They demanded for withdrawal of proposal of outsourcing the airports and rendering more than 10,000 employees jobless.They said that Pakistan was honey combed with many sided security risks. Handing over the profitable airports to private sector would be a foolish step .They said that CAA Pakistan was earning More than Rs.26 billion per annum profit after meeting the losses of smaller airports. They also appealed to the parliamentarians of PTI and PPP to raise voice against outsourcing the airports.
