Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar B-Zardari, Aseefa B Zardari and Surendar Valasai joined the holi festival and extended felicitations to the Hindu community on the eve of “Holi” festival being celebrated on Sunday in Pakistan and across the world.Bilawal took part in Holi celebrations, got rubbed traditional Holi colors on his face and threw the colours to the uadience.
In his felicitation message here today, the PPP Chairman said that he had himself visited Umerkot to celebrate Holi with our non-Muslim brothers and sisters last year.
However, this year due to the pressing engagements for the Party reorganization process in Lahore, he could not attend Holi festivities personally.

PPP Chairman said that Holi celebrations historically encompassed victory of good over the evil and urged for special prayers on the occasion for peace, progress and prosperity in our country. Holi is an important festival to Hindus, as well as to many other Indians and other people of south Asian origin. It is celebrated at the end of winter, on the last full moon day of the lunar month Phalgun.The festival has many purposes; most prominently, it celebrates the beginning of Spring. Hindus believe it is a time of enjoying spring's abundant colours and saying farewell to winter.
Symbolically signified by the legend of Holika. The night before Holi, bonfires are lit in a ceremony known as Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) or Little Holi. People gather near fires, sing and dance.
