Five hardcore terrorists, all of them being active members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were executed in district jail Kohat on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the militants, tried by military courts, admitted their crimes.
The military courts were set up through the 21st constitutional amendment after the 2014 Peshawar attack, which left over 150 people, mostly children, dead.
Details of executed terrorists
- Shoukat Ali, son of Abdul Jabbar, was involved in attacking law enforcement agencies and armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He was tried on five charges and awarded death sentence.
- Imdadullah, son of Abdul Wajid, was involved in destruction of an educational institution in district Buner of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and attacking LEAs, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He was tried on five charges and awarded death sentence.
- Sabir Shah, son of Syed Ahmed Shah, was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death of soldiers. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
- Khandan, son of Dost Muhammad Khan, was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
- Anwar Ali, son of Fazal Ghani attacked armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
