So called exorcist tortured a woman to death in D.G.Khan

MULTAN, Feb 9th: A so called exorcist Amanullah Darkhan killed a woman Surayya Bibi,(31)by hitting a baton on her head after hanging her upside down during to oust the genie from her body.Acting DPO DeraGhazi Khan Sajjad Gujjar said," we have registered acase against the exorcist and his assistant on murder charge on the complaint of Nazar Hussain and a police team was searching them. He hoped that they would be apprehended shortly.SHO Police station "B" division Azhar Hussain told that post mortem of the ill-fated woman was completed and body handed over to their relatives for burial.He said that a  case has been registered under section 302/34 PPC against Amanullah and his disciple Abdul Hameed.However no arrest was made.  A woman in Dera Ghazi Khan was tortured to death on Thursday allegedly by a self-proclaimed"Pir" (Exorcist) attempting to perform an exorcism on her, police said. A case has been registered against the 'faith healer' and his assistant for suspected murder. Nazar Hussain claims he tried to stop the 'exorcism' after he watched his wife screaming in agony, but both of the fake holy men refused to stop.Suriya was taken to hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan in a critical condition, but doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.Suraya Bibi, 31, was taken to 'faith healer' Amanullah Darkhan's 'healing centre' by relatives who claimed she was under the influence of spirits, family members told  .During the 'healing treatment', Suraya was beaten, hanged by her feet and Smoke was developed by the 'faith healer' and his assistant, her family members said, adding that she was taken to the trauma centre at Ghazi Khan Medical College where she succumbed to her injuries. Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr.Khalid Tahseen at Ghazi Khan Medical College confirmed that Surayya had expired by the time she was brought to the hospital.The 'healer' and his assistant fled the scene of the crime, and a case was registered against them by police under Section 302/34 PPC. Deputy Commissioner D.G.Khan Allah Rakha Anjum said that a villager Nazar Hussain resident of Sajjadabad a suburb of DeraGhazi Khan in Punjab province , took his wife Suraiyya Begum to nearby Naurangabad for spiritual healing, where a fake pir and his disciple told him that his wife was under the influence of spirits and she required exorcism. They tortured her to injured seriously and she succumbed to wounds in Hospital
