Sirajul Haq for indiscriminate and ruthless accountability -Press Conference in Multan

MULTAN, January 05: Jamaat Islami Amir Sirajul Haq has said first of all indiscriminate and ruthless accountability should be done against Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and corrupt  rulers of past and stressed the need for the appointment of NAB chairman through Supreme Court because people were suspected of NAB chairman and alleging that hewas promoting corruption through "plea-bargain". The titanic of present government sank into Panama Leaks Swamp and it will never prevent from the mega corruption scandal.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said Indian Prime Minister Nirendra  Modi was showing irresponsible attitude and his determination was reflecting negativity and Pakistan should respond Indian in his tone. He said contradictions reflect from rulers’ statements and new born baby is indebted due to policies of rulers.
Responding to query, Sirajul Haq ruled out grand alliance with other political parties for joint stryuggle agsing t corruption. He said the JI would launch struggle in her capacity.
He opposed creation of south Punjab as fifth province on ethnic grounds and said the JI was supporting creation of province on administrative basis. The roads in south Punjab were lying in dilapidated condition and hospitals without medicine and medical staff in south Punjab. The feudal elite are responsible for declining living standards in south Punjab. The case of south Punjab province is stronger and the JI would fight for the rights of people of this remote region at all levels. The state is responsible for providing free education, health and security according to the constitution, he said.
Sirajul Haq demanded appointment of NAB chairman through Supreme Court because present chairman is nominated by those named in Panama Leaks. He said poor people are treated in different ways than richer. Those cried for the rights of poor people have been found involved in off shore companies.   he further said that every day more revelations are surfacing in Panama case while government’s statements are contradictory and that we too want earliest decision of Panama case.
There is corruption of billions of rupees each month and Supreme Court has talked of corruption in institutions, he said adding that a grand alliance without a clear objective would be no good. The landed gentry are in alliance for last 70 years irrespective of parties and the situation is such that the son is one party while father is in another.
No one is serious to solve peoples’ problem, people have become good enough only to cast vote and pay taxes, he added.
