Indian actress Pooja Bhatt on Thursday arrived in Karachi on a private visit. Taking to media, Bhatt said she had travelled to Pakistan several times and was happy to visit again.
She is a daughter of renowned bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt.
Actors in India and Pakistan have faced pressure in the wake of rising tensions between the countries. Indian extremists have warned filmmakers against casting actors from across the border while Pakistan has also banned Indian content on TV and radio. Pakistani cinemas have also stopped playing Indian movies.The Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin actor was the show stopper for Deepak Perwani at FPW 2015, and a close source told The South Punjab news that she’ll grace the ramp this year as well.
Pooja, like her father Mahesh Bhatt, has been in support of Pakistani talent working in India, and shares a warm equation with the people from Pakistan. “It is neither nationalism nor blackmail.
