Multan:One of the visitors was succumbed to wounds in Nishtar Hospital, seven were admitted to hospital while another 12 relieved after necessary medical aid.As 20 people including children and women have been injured as a swing broke down in Multan's Jinnah park, the Police reported here on Wednesday night.Rescue teams reached the spot soon and took the injured people to the Nishtar Hospital for treatment. Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif took notice and asked administration to submit the report of the incident.He also instructed the hospital administration to give special treatment to the children. He ordered that investigation should be done as soon as possible and action should be taken against those who are guilty.
As a result, 2, including the contractor were arrested by police. An eye witnessed told that operator did not fasten the seat belts properly after having an argument with a person. Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) had issued the certificate about the swings.The incident occurred after a safety lock of the swing got opened, leaving 20 people wounded, who were shifted to a hospital.One of the injured succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.Out of 19 wounded people, 12 were discharged after minor treatment. Seven other wounded in the wake of accident are still hospitalized.Eye witnesses said the incident was pre-planned and not an accident.
