FIA arrested two officials of the Nadra on charges of issuing CNICs to foreign nationals.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Thursday arrested two officials of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on charges of issuing CNICs to foreign nationals.


According to an FIA official, crime circle of the agency conducted a raid on Quetta’s Alamdar Road Quetta and picked up two officers for issuing CNICs to Afghan nationals.
He said that the arrested officers were identified as intelligence officer Nisar Ali and assistant director Manzoor Bugti.
Both officers have taken bribes from the Afghan national for issuance of identity card to him, the FIA official added.
Nadra says thousands of CNICs have been blocked on suspicion of being issued to foreigners. Most of the cards were blocked in Quetta, Killa Abdullah, Chaghi and other parts of the province.
